Welcome, and thank you for stopping by my blog! My name is Maria, and I live in New Orleans. I have a dog, a cat and a great job that I love and gives me time to work on myself after a rough year as well as setting up my own thing. With that being said my main areas of ‘expertise’ are fashion/merchandising, costuming, fitness, food/beverage service, and hospitality.

Offbeat Doll is just an outlet for my quirky rambles and musings about life and my little world here in New Orleans. My palate for life and point of view is just a little different, like my life has been. Along the way I’ve come to appreciate and understand that the world is a lot more gray than most of us give it credit for. It’s given me the mindset that 'and' is greater than 'or' in most situations, and hope that you come to embrace that point of you as well. Hope to see you back, soon!
